Jamillah Bonner named Athlete of the Week
Jamillah Bonner is the Butler Grizzlies Athlete of the Week for the week of January 23, the second time this month she has earned the honor.
Bonner, a freshman from Wichita Southeast High School, led the Butler women's basketball team to a pair of wins last week at Colby and at home against Pratt.
At Colby, Bonner led Butler with 21 points and eight rebounds in a 53-50 road win. Then, on Saturday, Bonner scored 24 points with seven rebounds, giving her an average of 22.5 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
For the season, Bonner is averaging 15.9 points and 7.6 rebounds per game.
