For the second consecutive week, the Butler football team remained ranked fourth in the NJCAA Top 20 National poll, whcih was released Tuesday.
Butler received the same amount of votes (119) as they did in last week's poll. With the #4 ranking, the Grizzlies (3-0 overall, 2-0 KJCCC) have now been ranked in the NJCAA top 10 in 144 consecutive polls.
The top six – Mississippi Gulf Coast, Navarro (TX), Iowa Western, Butler, East Mississippi and Copiah-Lincoln (MS) – was unchanged, while Georgia Military, Hinds (MS) and Nassau (NY) moved up two spots each. ASA (NY) rounded out the top 10.
Other KJCCC schools in the poll this week are Hutchinson (2-1) and Garden City (2-1). Hutchinson moved up two spots from 13th to 11th, while Garden City fell from 12th to 18th. Hutchinson defeated Garden City 34-24 on Saturday. For the second straight week, Dodge City received votes but did not crack the top 20 poll.
Butler hosts Independence (1-2 overall, 0-1 KJCCC) this Saturday for a 7 p.m. contest at BG Products Veterans Sports Complex..
