Ham named KJCCC Division I Pitcher of the Week

Butler sophomore pitcher Maggie Ham has been named the KJCCC/Verizon Wireless Division I Pitcher of the Week for the week ending Feb. 3, 2013.
Ham, a transfer from Louisiana-Lafayette who has signed with the University of Oklahoma, struck out 20 batters in 10 innings in two wins over defending NJCAA Division II runner-up LSU-Eunice. Ham struck out 14 batters in a complete-game 6-4 win on Saturday over NJCAA Division II LSU-Eunice, then threw three scoreless innings in relief in a 6-4 victory while fanning six batters.
In the opening weekend, Ham went 2-0 with a 2.70 earned run average, allowing just three earned runs on six hits and walking five batters.
