Coming off of one of the most successful season's in school history with a 31-7 record, the Butler women's volleyball team recently had several athletes recognized for their performances on the court.
Hanna Flaming was the lone Grizzly named to the 2012 KJCCC Division II first team all-conference. She finished the season with 292 kills and hit .275 with 223 digs, and 55 blocks. Flaming was also named to the NJCAA Region VI District M first team.
Aimee Wood and Haleigh Lewis both earned second team all-conference. Wood posted 16 aces and 631 digs while playing libero for the Grizzlies. Lewis amassed 276 kills while hitting .354 with 138 blocks in her sophomore season.
Wood also was named to the NJCAA Region VI District M first team and Lewis was named to the second team.
Payton White was the only Grizzly to receive honorable mention in the conference. The freshman finished the year hitting .369 with 253 kills and had 84 blocks and 68 digs. White also joined Lewis on the NJCAA Region VI District M second team.
Butler Head Coach Rick Younger said, "We are pleased to get four players on the conference and district teams. The competition between the top six teams was tough."
