Bonner, Ivy named to All-Jayhawk West, Region VI teams

Butler sophomore Jamillah Bonner and freshman Ashlee Ivy earned postseason honors, as both players were named to the Jayhawk Western Division and All-Region VI basketball teams.

A 5'8" sophomore guard from Wichita, Bonner earned first-team honors for both the Jayhawk Western Division and All-Region VI teams. Bonner started all 33 games this season and led the Grizzlies in scoring (16.7 ppg), rebounds (8.2 rpg) and steals (3.6 spg). She set the school record for most career points, finishing with 1,081 points over her two-year career at Butler and became only the second player in Grizzly women's basketball history to record over 1,000 points for her career. She also recorded 10 double-doubles this season. Bonner was twice named the Women's KJCCC/Verizon Wireless Basketball Player of the Week. Bonner has signed on to play basketball at Wichita State University next season.

Ivy, a 6'0" freshman guard/forward from Wichita, received second-team honors for both the Jayhawk Western Division and All-Region VI teams. Ivy was second on the Grizzlies in scoring (10.7 ppg), rebounds (5.8), assists (2.8 apg) and steals (2.2 spg). Ivy lead the team in field goal percentage (49.7).
