Butler women’s basketball guard Ashley Singhateh and football linebacker Landon Boss have been selected as the White Eagle Credit Union Athletes of the Week for the week of November 18th through November 24th, 2024.
Ashley Singhateh (Women’s Basketball)
Singhateh, a freshman from Maize, Kan., helped Butler women’s basketball to a 2-0 week pushing their record to 6-0 overall on the season as they grabbed wins over NOC-Tonkawa and Pratt. Singhateh averaged 14.0 points per game, 6.0 assists per game, 5.5 rebounds per game and 1.5 steals per game in the two wins. In the win over NOC-Tonkawa, she finished with 13 points, five rebounds, four assists and two steals. In Butler's first conference win over Pratt on Saturday she added 15 points, eight assists and six rebounds.
Landon Boss (Football)
Boss, a sophomore from Osage City, Kan., continued his impressive play all season in the season finale loss to Coffeyville on Saturday. Boss racked up a team-high 14 tackles, nine solo tackles and a tackle for loss. In the first quarter, Boss picked off a Coffeyville pass and returned it 37 yards for a pick-six touchdown. He wraps up the season with 90 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, three interceptions and two forced fumbles. He was named a first team All-KJCCC linebacker.
