Kylie Forney and Kamohelo Ramatsebe
Butler softball infielder Kylie Forney and men’s track and field distance runner Kamohelo Ramatsebe have been selected as the White Eagle Credit Union Athletes of the Week for the week of April 28th through May 4th, 2025.
Kylie Forney (Softball)
Forney, a sophomore from Andover, Kan., helped lead the Grizzlies to a Region 6 title. Forney finished the tournament leading Butler in batting average (.524), slugging (.905), hits (11), RBI (11), doubles (5), total bases (19), while striking out just once across 21 at bats. Forney had five multi-hit games across Butler’s seven tournament games and drove in three-runs in a win over Hutchinson and two runs in three different games.
Kamohelo Ramatsebe (Men’s Track and Field)
Ramatsebe, a freshman from Welkom, South Africa, won the men's 3000m steeplechase at the Region 6 Championships in Coffeyville over the weekend. He ran it in 9:07.39 to become the lone Grizzly to win a Region 6 title in an event. Ramatsebe was also part of the men’s 4x800m relay that registered a seventh-place finish. He helped the Butler men to a seventh place finish out of 15 competing squads.
