Butler volleyball outside hitter Sarah Sullivan and football linebacker Landon Boss have been selected as the White Eagle Credit Union Athletes of the Week for the week of September 23rd through September 29th, 2024.
Sarah Sullivan(Volleyball)
Sullivan, a sophomore from Henderson, Nevada, helped the Grizzlies to a 2-1 finish on the week including a 3-1 win over Cloud County for the Grizzlies second straight conference win. On the week, Sullivan tallied 4.18 kills per set and hit .343. She also averaged 2.36 digs per set. In a 3-1 loss to MSU-West Plains, Sullivan slammed home a school-record tying 21 kills on .304 hitting. She finished with 17 kills and nine digs in a 3-1 win over Cloud County.
Landon Boss (Football)
Boss, a sophomore from Osage City, Kan., helped the Butler defense hold No. 3 ranked Snow College to a season-low 341 total yards and a season-low 21 points in a 21-14 Grizzly loss. Boss tallied a career-high 14 total tackles as well as a sack and a quarterback hurry. Boss flew around the field all afternoon. He exited early on with an injury but returned to the field and led the charge defensively.
