Amanda Kotambe & Jackson Ellison

Butler women's track & field student-athlete Amanda Kotambe and Butler baseball player Jackson Ellison have been selected as the White Eagle Credit Union Athletes of the Week for the week of February 1st through February 7th, 2026.

Amanda Kotambe (Women's Track & Field)

Butler sophomore track & field-student athlete Amanda Kotambe competed at the Bearcat Invitational at Northwest Missouri State University this past weekend. Kotambe finished in first place among all JUCO qualifers in the 800 meter rase and the 1,000 meter race, and broke several school and meet records in the process. Kotambe finished with a time of 2:10 in the 800 and broke two school records in her first place finish. In the 1,000, Kotambe finished with a time of 2:52 and broke two more school records as well as a meet record.  

Jackson Ellison (Baseball)

Butler sophomore shortstop Jackson Ellison had himself a productive weekend in the Grizzlies season opener at Paris (TX). Ellison finished his weekend with five hits, seven RBI's, two doubles, one stolen base, and hit .385 over the three game stretch.
