Keegan Yarick & Josiah Kirkwood

Butler women's basketball player Keegan Yarick and Butler men's basketball player Josiah Kirkwood have been selected as the White Eagle Credit Union Athletes of the Week for the week of February 8th through February 14th, 2026.

Keegan Yarick (Women's Basketball)

Butler sophomore guard Keegan Yarick had two impressive performances in two Grizzly wins last week. Over the course of the week, Yarick averaged 21 points on 61.5 percent shooting, 55.6 percent from three. Yarick also contributed with an average of four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. In the Grizzlies win at Independence, Yarick had 13 points on six of 11 shooting, grabbed four rebounds, had one assist, and two steals. In Butler's win over Seward on Saturday, Yarick had a career day. Yarick scored a career high 29 points on 10 of 15 shooting, four of seven from three, and was a perfect five of five from the free throw line. Yarick also added four rebounds, five assists, two steals, and one block in the win.

Josiah Kirkwood (Men's Basketball)

Butler sophomore guard and Kansas City, MO. native Josiah Kirkwood played a huge role in the Grizzlies 2-0 week. Kirkwood averaged 19 points per game, 2.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 3.5 steals over the course of the week. In Wednesday's win 93-88 win at Independence, Kirkwood scored a career high 24 points, six steals one block, while also drawing fouls, shooting 13 of 17 from the foul line. In Saturday's 94-93 win over Seward, Kirkwood hit the game winning jump shot from the right elbow with 1.5 seconds to go. For the game, Kirkwood had 14 points, two rebounds, five assists and a steal.
