Butler women's basketball player Kenzie Galliart and Butler baseball player Danny Wideman have been selected as the White Eagle Credit Union Athletes of the Week for the week of February 22nd through February 28th, 2026.
Kenzie Galliart (Women's Basketball)
Butler sophomore forward Kenzie Galliart played a big role in helping the No. 2 ranked Butler Grizzlies clinch their first KJCCC regular season championship since 2021. Over the two game stretch, Galliart averaged 17 points per game on 56.5 percent shooting and averaged eight rebounds. In the Grizzlies 67-53 win at No. 7 Dodge City, Galliart scored a season high 19 points on eight of 12 shooting and added nine boards and two assists. In the Grizzlies 73-60 win over Cloud County on Saturday, Galliart finished with 15 points on five of 11 shooting, went five of six from the foul line and had seven rebounds.
Danny Wideman (Baseball)
Butler freshman outfielder Danny Wideman delivered a monster performance over the weekend, powering the Grizzlies to a series split with Des Moines Area Community College. In three games against the Bears, Wideman racked up eight hits in 12 at‑bats, blasted five home runs, drove in 11 runs, scored six times, added a double, and stole three bases while posting a .667 batting average. He homered twice in both games two and three of the series, then capped the weekend with another long ball in game four.
