Amanda Kotambe & Jackson Ellison

Butler women's track & field student-athlete Amanda Kotambe and Butler baseball player Jackson Ellison have been selected as the White Eagle Credit Union Athletes of the Week for the week of April 5th through 11th, 2026.

Amanda Kotambe (Women's Track & Field)

Butler sophomore Amanda Kotambe competed in the Grizzly Gold Invitational at BG Products Veterans Sports Complex this past weekend. Kotambe finished in first place in the women's 800 meter race with 64 participants. Kotambe finished with a time of 2:13.06. Kotambe also finished in fourth place in the women's 400 meter dash with a time of 58.61. 

Jackson Ellison (Baseball)

Butler sophomore shortstop Jackson Ellison had a productive week for the Grizzlies. In five games last week, Ellison had eight hits in 19 at bats with a .421 batting average and had an on base percentage of .440. Ellison hit two home runs over the course of the week, both against the No. 5 team in the country, Cloud County.
