Addison Chapman & Tanay Vyas

Butler softball player Addison Chapman and Butler baseball player Tanay Vyas have been selected as the White Eagle Credit Union Athletes of the Week for the week of April 12th through 18th, 2026.

Addison Chapman (Softball)

Butler freshman pitcher and McPherson, Kansas native Addison Chapman started in two games in the circle for the Grizzlies and earned three wins. In Butler's 8-0 shutout victory over Colby, Chapman threw a perfect game. Chapman threw five innings and allowed 0 hits, 0 runs, 0 walks, and struck out four batters in the win. Over the course of the week, Chapman threw 12 innings and allowed just two hits and two earned runs, walked three batters, and had 10 strikeouts.

Tanay Vyas (Baseball)

Butler redshirt freshman Tanay Vyas had an impressive week at the plate in the Grizzlies four game series vs the Barton Cougars. Vyas had 10 hits in 15 at bats, scoring eight runs, nine RBI, four home runs, and one stolen base. Vyas had a batting average of .667 with an on base percentage at .667.
