Grizzlies Matchup with Hutchinson Postponed

EL DORADO, Kan. – Saturday's scheduled matchup between Butler and Hutchinson has been postponed due to impending weather. The games will now be played on Monday, Jan. 26, with tipoff times set for 5:30 p.m. (women) and 7:30 p.m. (men).

The No. 8 Butler Grizzlies women's team, coming off a win over Coffeyville, will travel to take on the No. 18 Hutchinson Blue Dragons at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Hutchinson enters the contest on a three‑game winning streak, most recently defeating Garden City 68–61. Butler remains atop the Jayhawk Conference standings at 18–1 overall and 12–1 in league play, while Hutchinson sits in third at 15–4 and 10–3. This will be the second meeting between the teams; Butler claimed the first matchup 56–44 on Nov. 22 in El Dorado.

The No. 25 Butler men will follow at 7:30 p.m. against Hutchinson. The Grizzlies are currently in a three‑way tie for first place in the Jayhawk Conference with No. 15 Dodge City and No. 19 Seward County, holding a 13–6 overall record and 9–4 conference mark. Hutchinson enters at 10–9 and 5–8, having dropped four of its last five games, including a 97–93 loss to Garden City on Saturday. The Blue Dragons won the first meeting on Nov. 22, edging Butler 83–82 on a last‑second three by Bobby Cannon.
