Before Butler: attended Udall High School in Udall, Kan., where he played for coach John Mayes… lettered track one year, football three years, basketball and baseball four years… all- league second team 2009, all- league first team 2010, all-league first team and all state honorable mention 2011, all-league and all-state first team 2012… played club baseball with the Wichita Prospects for coach Kenny Waddell.
