Grizzlies receiving votes in NJCAA Preseason Poll
The 2022 NJCAA Football Preseason Poll was released on Monday with the new season on the horizon, and Head Coach Brice Vignery's squad received votes in the first edition of this season's top 15 ranking.
The Grizzlies play one of the toughest schedules in the country, starting the year against seventh ranked Garden City this Saturday. Butler will play six of the teams ranked in the Top 15, as Iowa Western comes into the season ranked second in the nation off the backs of a trip to the national championship game, while last year's conference champion Hutchinson is ranked third. Week three opponent Snow College was picked fifth in the nation, as the Badgers visit El Dorado on September 10th. Conference opponent Independence rounds out the Top 10, ranked tenth. Iowa Central is the final ranked team that the Grizzlies will face this season, as they come into the year picked 11th.
Butler's season will begin this Saturday, August 27th, as they welcome the Broncbusters to BG Products Veterans Sports Complex for a 7:00pm kickoff.
