Bio
The 2025 football season will be Brandon Niccum's first with Butler. Niccum will be the Co-Offensive Coordinator and Offensive Line Coach.
Niccum comes to Butler from Missouri Southern State University (D2 MIAA) where he served as the offensive line coach and run game coordinator in 2025. In his short stint was able to recruit 15 offensive linemen to the room in one signing class. Prior to MSSU he was the offensive coordinator at NEO (24-25 Season) where his offense was ranked in the top 10 in rushing yards per game in the country.
Prior to his time at NEO, Niccum coached at Southwest Baptist for three seasons (2021-2023). In the 2022 season, Niccum helped lead the nation’s ninth leading rusher in NCAA Division II football. The 2022 offense improved by over 1,300 yards in overall rushing and ended the season in the top 25 in total offense. Niccum coached four offensive linemen who earned All-Conference honors including first teamer Dami Oyesanya, second teamer William Bressi, while Cody Brackeen and Chase Barthlett garnered honorable mention honors, taking his total to 19 all-conference players throughout his career. The Bearcat football team finished with a winning record (6-5), for the first time since 2016.
Before Southwest Baptist University, Niccum served as the Offensive Line Coach and Run Game Coordinator at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College. He also ran the Strength and Conditioning program for the Norsemen.
Niccum also spent time as the Offensive Line Coach and Strength and Conditioning Coordinator at Lawton Eisenhower High School, a 5A Program in the state of Oklahoma.
In 2019, he served as the Offensive Line Coach and Run Game Coordinator at Rocky Mountain College, an NAIA program in Billings Montana.
Niccum is a graduate of Northwestern Oklahoma State University with a bachelor’s in Health, Sport Science and Sport Psychology. He was an all-conference player for the Rangers and was named team captain. Before his time at NWOSU, Niccum played two seasons at Navarro College.
During his time at Navarro, Niccum earned two 1st Team All-conference awards, 1st Team All Region Award and All-American honors. Brandon is a native of Justin, TX where he was a standout player for Northwest High School.
