Softball Sweeps KJCCC Weekly Awards
Kylie Forney and Ellie Randall Snag Final KJCCC Weekly Honors of the Season
COLBY, Kan. – Helping lead 16th ranked Butler Softball to four wins last week to clinch a share of the Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 1 Softball regular season crown, Grizzly players Kylie Forney and Ellie Randall have each earned their first KJCCC D1 Softball Player of the Week honors of the 2025 season.
Kylie Forney - Butler (KJCCC Division 1 Softball Player of the Week)
Forney helped the number 16-ranked Grizzlies to a 4-0 week, including sweeps of Barton at home and Pratt on the road, to clinch a share of the KJCCC regular season title. The redshirt sophomore finished with a team-high nine runs driven in as well as seven hits (7-9) for a .778 batting average on the week. Forney tallied five extra-base hits, including a two-home run performance against Pratt to drive in seven RBI.
Ellie Randall - Butler (KJCCC Division 1 Softball Pitcher of the Week)
Randall helped Butler to a pair of victories on the week allowing just two runs in 8.0 innings of action as the Grizzlies clinched a share of the KJCCC regular-season title. The freshman tossed a complete game in Butler's 11-2 win over Barton, striking out three before working 3.0 innings in a win at Pratt allowing just one in addition to striking out two.
Randall and Forney join Addy Ewing as the only other Grizzly to earn weekly honors from the conference this season.
