EL DORADO, Kan. – The No. 4 Butler Grizzlies extended their winning streak to eleven games with a commanding 100–40 victory over the Pratt Beavers on Wednesday night.
The 60‑point win is the largest margin of victory over a Division I Jayhawk Conference opponent during head coach Mike Helmer's tenure. The previous high was a 56‑point win over Dodge City in 2015 (95–39).
Butler (20–1, 14–1) controlled the game from the opening tip, racing out to a 25–6 lead after the first quarter and taking a 52–16 advantage into halftime. The Grizzlies continued to pour it on in the second half, outscoring Pratt 48–24 to secure the emphatic win.
Five Grizzlies scored in double figures. Sophomore Mya Mayberry—coming off a 36‑point performance Monday at Hutchinson—again led the way with 16 points on 4‑of‑7 shooting from three, along with six assists, three rebounds, and two steals. Destiny Smith added 15 points off the bench, knocking down five of nine from beyond the arc. Keegan Yarick and Kenzie Galliart each scored 14, while Ashley Singhateh contributed 11 points, five rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
As a team, Butler shot 50 percent from the field (35–70) and went 13 of 31 from deep. Pratt struggled to generate offense against Butler's relentless defensive pressure, shooting just 15 of 41 from the floor and 3 of 15 from three. The Beavers committed 34 turnovers, leading to 19 Grizzly steals and a massive 33‑shot attempt disparity.
With the win, No. 4 Butler improves to 20–1 overall and 14–1 in conference play, remaining tied atop the standings with No. 3 Dodge City.
Next up: The Grizzlies hit the road Saturday to face Fort Hays Tech Northwest. Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT.
