EL DORADO, Kan. – A third-minute goal was the difference as Butler Soccer fell at home to the Seward County Saints on Saturday, 1-0.
The Grizzlies (3-6-3, 2-3-1) outshot Seward (4-3-0, 3-3-0) 14 to 3 and were awarded four more corners, but the Purple and Gold were unable to find the back of the net in the defeat.
The visitors from Liberal, Kan., scored the only goal of the match on a free kick from 35 yards away, as the ball slipped through the hands of Butler keeper Millie Robshaw-Charlesworth and into the back of the net, giving Seward a 1-0 lead in the third minute of the match.
