DODGE CITY, Kan. – The Butler Grizzlies earned their first road conference win of the season with a 4–0 shutout over Dodge City.
Four different Grizzlies found the back of the net on Wednesday night—two in each half. Butler defender Isabel Sandoval scored the first goal of the game just five minutes into the contest, following a Grizzly header off a corner kick assisted by Naho Yamamura.
Julissa Nash added her first goal of the evening with 11:21 remaining in the first half, extending the Grizzlies' lead to 2–0 heading into the break.
About 14 minutes into the second half, Yamamura delivered another corner kick, which Amiyah Hamilton-Thompson headed in to make it 3–0.
With 17:44 left in the match, Anahyssa Nash joined the scoring, netting her first goal of the game to ultimately seal the 4–0 victory.
As a team, the Grizzlies recorded 16 shots, including eight on goal. Hamilton-Thompson finished with four shots, two on goal, and one goal scored. Sandoval had two shots, both on goal, with one goal and one assist. Butler goalkeeper Millie Robshaw-Charlesworth faced six shots on goal and made six saves.
