EL DORADO, Kan. – Butler earned back-to-back wins for the first time this season, blanking Garden City 3-0 on Saturday.
All-American London Ingram opened the scoring with 23:30 remaining in the first half, giving the Grizzlies an early lead. Just over a minute later, Amiyah Hamilton-Thompson doubled the advantage with a header off a corner kick from Naho Yamamura. Butler carried a 2-0 lead into halftime.
The second half remained quiet until Isabel Sandoval broke through in the 76th minute, finishing off a well-placed free-kick assist from Charlotte Long to seal the 3-0 victory.
Butler fired off 17 shots, including 11 on target, while goalkeeper Millie Robshaw-Charlesworth turned away all three shots she faced to secure the shutout — her second in as many games.
