Grizzlies Avenge Earlier Season Loss to Seward

Butler (8-6-5, 7-3-3) continues their momentum with another win, this time over the Seward Saints (5-8-1, 4-8-1). The Grizzlies haven't lost since their first matchup with Seward on Sept. 27.
Butler got on the board first in the 17th minute when London Ingram found the back of the net - assisted by Heide Bartel. Ingram has scored five goals in her last four matches. The Grizzlies held the Saints scoreless in the first half, and allowed only one shot heading into the break.
The Grizzlies continued to put their foot on the gas in the second half, netting three second half goals. Darya Karabanko put up the second goal of the contest in the 55th minute, assisted by Amiyah Hamilton-Thompson. Butler found the back of the net once again in the 57th minute, this time by Kenedi Smith, with another assist from Hamilton-Thompson to extend their lead 3-0. Smith found her second goal of the game 54 seconds later to ice the game at 4-0.
Butler ended up with 13 shots for the game, compared to Seward's five. Smith led the squad with three shots on goal, and Ingram added two shots on goal. Butler goalkeeper Millie-Robshaw-Charlesworth allowed only two shots on goal and had two saves on the night.
Next up: Butler finishes up their regular season on sophomore day at BG Products Veterans Sports Complex when they host Dodge City on Saturday at 1 p.m.
