EL DORADO, Kan. – Butler soccer concluded the 2025 regular season on Saturday with a 3-0 home shutout of the Dodge City Conquistadors at BG Products Veterans Sports Complex.
The Grizzlies (9-6-5) extended their winning streak to three matches and their unbeaten streak to eight. They have not lost since a 1-0 defeat to Seward County on Sept. 27.
Amiyah Hamilton-Thompson opened the scoring in the seventh minute with an excellently placed ball that floated just over the Dodge City keeper to give the Grizzlies a 1-0 lead.
Neither side scored the rest of the half, with Butler goalkeeper Millie Robshaw-Charlesworth turning away two Dodge City chances in the opening frame.
Right out of halftime, sophomore Anahyssa Nash buried her third goal of the season on an excellent feed from Amiyah Hamilton-Thompson, putting the Grizzlies up 2-0 in the 47th minute.
Twenty minutes later, Merari Flores cashed in her first goal of the season, weaving through a quartet of Conquistador defenders and slicing a ball past the goalie for a 3-0 Butler lead.
The score held up the rest of the way, resulting in a Grizzly victory. Robshaw-Charlesworth earned the win in goal, making three saves.
The Grizzlies will now await seeding and matchups for the upcoming NJCAA Region VI Championship.
