Capping off an already historic season for the Butler volleyball team, the Grizzlies were awarded with the Sportsmanship Award following the conclusion of the NJCAA Div. I National Volleyball Tournament this past weekend. 

"Winning an award like this says a lot about our players and culture of the program," commented 4^th year head coach Lisa Lechtenberg. "This team was extremally talented and skilled on the court, but they are even more so amazing and talented young women off the court. I am excited to see that the tournament committee noticed that about this group and they were recognized for it."

On top of that, Butler freshman outside hitter Ivy Fink was named to the All-Tournament team. Fink totaled 38 kills in the tournament with a hitting percentage of .251. She also had 34 digs on the weekend and seven blocks. Of the 13 award winners, Fink was just one of four Americans named to the All-Tournament team.

The Grizzlies finished 4^th at the tournament following a historic season that saw the Grizzlies finish 37-4 with their first conference and Region VI titles.
