GARDEN CITY, Kan. – The Butler Grizzlies defeated the Garden City Broncobusters on the road for their second conference win on the season.
The Butler Grizzlies (11-8, 2-4) have now won their last four of five matches after their four set win (21-25, 25-22, 25-15, 25-18) over Garden City (7-8, 4-2) on Wednesday night.
Garden City took the first set from the Grizzlies 25-21. After that, it was all Grizzlies.
Butler had 54 kills on 120 total attacks, 28 blocks, and 10 service aces on the night.
Rylin Sommer led the team on kills with 14 on 26 total attacks, while also adding six digs and four block assists. Miami Kirksay had 13 kills on 36 total attacks, and finished with 20 digs. Freshman Bella Holcomb added 44 assists, the second most assists she's had on the season.
Next Up: Butler will travel to Concordia on Saturday to take on the Cloud County Thunderbirds at 3 p.m.
